Dressing, grooming, and toileting are all examples of personal care. Purple Heart’s professional caregivers provide personal care based on the client’s needs. Bathing, mobility assistance, incontinence, and toileting care, preparing and serving meals, and more hands-on personal care such as position changes for bedbound clients and specialized care for those with memory issues or cognitive impairments, fall risk assessment and prevention, and change in condition monitoring are all examples of this. We can design a care plan for your loved one that includes physical safety, emotional health, and socialization. Our goal is to assist our clients in maintaining their independence at home.
Purple Heart caregivers assist clients with personal care for them to look and feel their best. According to research, regular hygiene and grooming improve the self-esteem and emotional well-being of the elderly. We serve clients who may be afraid of slipping while showering or who have grooming restrictions.
Including (But not limited to):
-Dressing (shoes, belt, watch, jewelry, etc.)
Bathrooms that are not suitable for the elderly may pose a fall risk. Surfaces may be damp and slippery after a bath or shower. Home falls are a source of anxiety for seniors and their families. Our caregivers decrease fall risks by offering mobile support in the home.
TRANSFERRING AND MOBILITY
Aging makes it more challenging to move around the house. A top priority is assisting consumers in moving around their homes. This involves transfers from a bed, chair, or wheelchair to avoid the risk of bedsores and muscle atrophy and to improve breathing and digestion. It decreases injuries and falls.
TOILETING AND INCONTINENCE
Our caregivers provide compassionate, dignified support with everyday living activities. We help elderly people with incontinence, and cleanliness can aid your family at home by creating trust. Incontinence care relies heavily on cleanliness and comfort. Seniors may find it challenging to deal with incontinence. If a senior or a loved one is afraid to ask for help, hygiene issues may arise.
MEAL PLANNING AND NUTRITION
Our caregivers adhere to doctor-recommended diet and nutrition guidelines. To meet dietary requirements, we assist with food purchasing and meal preparation. Dietary limitations are shared among the elderly. A doctor or nutritionist may include special nutritional requirements in a wellness plan, such as restrictions on what can be consumed. Nutrition may be a challenge for seniors who live alone. Moving around the kitchen and lifting pots and pans may be more difficult, making healthful home-cooked meals challenging. These meals can be replaced with fast food, packaged foods, or fewer calories. To avoid obesity, weight loss, and dehydration, seniors must consume adequate calories and nutrients. Our caregivers can assist with special diets and home cooking to provide nutritious, enjoyable meals.
